5 Ideas for Virtual Corporate Holiday Parties

With the holidays coming up, one of the best things to do for your employees is to bring cheer & excitement to the virtual office life, especially considering that lots of employees may be lacking the socialization that comes with working in an office setting alongside their colleagues. Here are some ways to make a virtual holiday party a little more invigorating this year:

1. Secret Santa

There’s nothing wrong with a good ole fashioned Secret Santa. Secret Santa gift exchanges are a great way to get to know your colleagues by finding them the perfect holiday gift. Here’s a great list of some holiday gifts (under $20!) perfect for your officemates.

2. Trivia Night

A simple and fun way to get your employees engaged is through a trivia night. Make it fun by including some questions related to the employees - it’s a great way to test your employees’ knowledge of your team, while seeing how well they pay attention to their colleagues interests. To make it really interesting, add some company trivia questions to create quite a challenge for your employees.

3. Plan a Theme

We’ve all heard of the typical ugly Christmas sweater party. Make it a virtual office event this year! Or choose another theme, like 80s ski night or just a regular old Christmas costume party (anyone have a Grinch costume handy?) to get your employees in the true holiday spirit.

4. Holiday Bartending & Baking

Have some great holiday-themed drink recipes lying around? Maybe some holiday dessert recipes too? If so, share them with your colleagues! Instead of the “typical” virtual office party, make it engaging by having your colleagues mix drinks and bake alongside you! With everyone helping each other out on the bartending and baking, your team will feel like they’re on the next season of Great British Baking Show. Plus, you can have a little decorating contest at the end.

5. Drunk Yoga®!

Last, but not least, host a Drunk Yoga® corporate holiday event! Our virtual events focus on uplifting and engaging all employees with yoga and wine, while bringing laughter and joy to the group. We focus on teambuilding and connection while adjusting to work (and life) at home. We can create the perfect environment for an at-home holiday office party. Happy Holidays!
